Sunset Wednesday, May 22nd, 2013

It’s been awhile since I’ve updated my blog. Sometimes I just forget…. and I keep forgetting lol….. here is one of my snapshots from the sunset this evening. For those following my blog, yes I am still working on my sunset photo book that I started working on back in November 2012. So far I’ve taken probably 1400 – 1500 photos while working on this project. I guess that must mean I have some actual intention to see this project through…. which is amazing considering how easily distracted I can be at times 🙂

Sunset Tuesday, March 5th, 2013

Here is a photo I took of this evenings sunset. Timestamp: 03-05-13-TUE-1756. This was after the clouds broke away after a heavy rain storm. It seemed like April showers a month early today. I almost thought there would be no sunset today but the clouds played along just fine.

Sunset On Friday, March 1st, 2013

Here is one of my latest sunset photo captures from this evenings sunset. Timestamp: 03-01-13-1722-FRI. I don’t think it’s one of my best, but it is one I like and I hope you like it. I was not very focused on my photo taking this evening because it was cold outside…. While the sunset was pretty I just wanted it over so I could get back inside where there is heat. I have a new respect for nature photographers who spend hours out in the snow in colder climate regions. This one was captured just before the sun was about to peak through some clouds. I’m saving the better photos from tonight’s series for picking through for my upcoming book.

It’s hard to believe March 2013 is here already! I could have sworn the new year just started yesterday. I have a new work schedule starting in a couple of days on the 3rd and will be getting off work earlier in the evenings and with time springing forward soon this is going to allow me more chances to get out and take photos of the sunsets in the evenings. This schedule will last for six months so I’m a little excited for the photo opportunity…. but I know I’m going to totally hate waking up at 5 a.m. to get ready for work.

Sunset On Andrews Road Sunday, January 28th, 2013

It’s always hard to choose a photo to show in a blog post that I won’t be including in my upcoming book because I take so many I just to show them all…… but in order for the book to be interesting I have to save the best pictures to be unseen until the book is finished. So with that said, here is one of the photos I took during the sunset today that I think is really nice, but there will be a few in the book that are better. 🙂

Backyard Birds – Sunday, January 28th, 2013

The backyard has been full of birds this afternoon. I wanted to take a short video to capture a few of them and to also try out video recording on my Galaxy Note 2 for the first time since buying the device a few months ago. I am thinking of possibly shooting short videos of the sunsets when I go out to photograph them so I’ll test that out and see how that goes over.
